Deplike Guitar FX is an amp and effects modeling mobile app[1] developed by Deplike Ltd. and released in 2014. Among Deplike's counterpart brands[2] are Tonebridge by Ultimate Guitar, Amplitube by IK Multimedia, Bias Fx2 by Positive Grid.

Overview

Deplike guitar effects & amps mobile app[3] enables users to plug their guitar into their phones or tablets using an audio interface, and utilize the virtual guitar gear modeled after popular and iconic pedals like Ibanez, Boss MXR and amps such as Orange, Marshall, Peavey, Fender. Deplike Guitar FX is available on Android,[4] iOS,[5] Mac and PC. Deplike Guitar FX operates with the complementary audio interfaces that are suitable for mobile devices such as iRig, Behringer UCG102, Apogee Jam, Behringer UM2, TC Helicon Go Guitar Pro.

History

Deplike Ltd. was founded in 2014 in Ankara, Turkey. Later, the company moved its headquarters to London, UK.[6] Deplike app was first released under the name Andrig and was developed to operate only on Android devices. Later, the iOS version was released, and the name was changed to Deplike.

Nefi Audio Engine

Nefi is the audio engine research & development project, which is also developed by Deplike Ltd, constitutes the audio engine of Deplike guitar amp and effects modeling mobile app.[7] It is originally developed to compensate for the weakness of audio algorithms in Google services including the Android OS. Nefi audio engine was implemented inside the Deplike app to optimize real time signal processing on Android devices. The inherent latency problem on Android devices is persistent even when complemented with USB audio interfaces. Nefi engine provides a walkaround solution for the latency problem on Android devices.
