Social:GCcollab

From HandWiki

GCcollab is an external social networking platform hosted by the Government of Canada. It is accessible to Canadian federal, provincial and territorial public servants by using their government email address. GCcollab is also open to academics and students of all Canadian universities and colleges. Academics and students gain access using the school email address. GCcollab is an open source, cloud-based social networking tool designed to encourage users to develop their own profiles, including descriptions of individual business activities, interests and expertise, collaborate and share knowledge on thematic areas.

It is expected that participants of GCcollab will increase the depth and breadth of data and information sharing between the academic and public sector communities to support improved deliberation on policy, program and research issues.

GCcollab is managed by the GCtools Team, which also manages the GCconnex and GCpedia platforms. The team is part of the Treasury Board Secretariat of Canada.
