Shariat-e-Halal Accreditation Trust

Shariat-e-Halal Accreditation Trust is founded on 9 June 2017 by Dr. Syed Kalbe Sadiq with Mufti Abul Irfan Firangi Maheli with three other Individuals to provide input of Sharia'h Law to Quality Council of India to create Halal Accreditation Scheme for Halal Certification Bodies.

The Trust Deed was signed on 9 June 2017 on the occasion of World Accreditation Day and registered on 12 June 2017 under Indian Trust Acts 1882 in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India .

Shariat-e-Halal Accreditation Trust also known as SeHAT (literally means Health) consist of:

1. Dr. Kalbe Sadiq (Chairman)

2. Mufti Abul Irfan Firangi Maheli (Vice Chairman)

3. Prof. Asif Akhtar Baig (Secretary General)

4. Shahid Akhtar Zaidi (President)

5. Hon. Sub. (Veteran) Mohd. Khwajenoor Shamsi (Joint Secretary)

The Organization is formed to provide assistance to Quality Council of India to form a new Halal Accreditation Scheme for Halal Food Conformity Assessment Bodies.

It will also help "National Accreditation Board for Education and Training" to create A National Accreditation Scheme for Madrasas in India to enhance the Education Standard of Madarsas in India.

It will monitor the fair practices of Halal Food Certification Bodies.

It will lay down the foundation of "Shariat-e-Halal Accreditation Council" as Section 8 Non Profit Making Public Limited Company with other Accreditation Boards of Several Islamic Countries, In which "Quality Council of India" and "Shariat-e-Halal Accreditation Trust" will holds the shares of the Company.

It came into existence to create an Indian Halal Standard consisting of Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), GHP, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and ISO 22000 Food Safety Management System Standards.

On 14 October 2017, "Shariat-e-Halal Accreditation Council" celebrated World Standards Day 2017 at Lucknow with two non profit organizations.
