Gurudwara Sahib Bibi Sharan Kaur Ji

Gurudwara Bibi Sharan Kaur Ji is a gurudwara that commemorates Bibi Sharan Kaur's martyrdom. In 1945 a Gurudwara was built in village Raipur in Chamkaur Sahib Tehsil in Rupnagar District of Punjab State, India to commemorate Bibi Sharan Kaur. Bibi Sharan Kaur Ji had performed the last rituals of Sahibzadas and those Singhs who became martyrs during the Battle of Chamkaur. After Bibi Ji performed the Sanskar, the Mughal Troops threw her in the burning fire and she became a Martyr. Gurudwara sahib built to commemorate.[1] To commemorate her gurudwara Sahib and a college named Bibi Sharan Kaur Ji Khalsa College built by SGPC to keep memory of Bibi Sharan Kaur ji Alive.[2]

Nishan Sahib

There is a Nishan Sahib in the Gurudwara sahib with ritual flag is celebrated. The event, during which a new Nishan Sahib is made, lasts for at least two to three days and is begun with Bhog observances centred on Akhand Path recital. Residents of this village engage in Sewa at this time. After Nishan Sahib, a holy kirtan is performed and all the worshippers (sangat) follow, singing the holy shabads.
