Morrison University is a private for-profit university located in Reno, Nevada in the United States. The university offers degrees in various disciplines at the undergraduate, graduate and doctorate levels.

History and governing structure

Morrison University was originally founded in 1902 as Nevada Business Institute. In 2014, Morrison closed due to internal issues. Shortly after, Morrison University was reopened under current ownership. Morrison has multiple programs focused in areas of business, education, and computer science. The organization is overseen by a board of directors who elect a Chief Executive Officer. The CEO oversees the other major department leads, who in turn hire managers in their department. Managers are then tasked with hiring and overseeing their own staff.[1][2][3]

Faculty

Morrison University has over 8,000 students both on-campus and online. The school employs 54 faculty members including visiting lecturers as well as additional administration and staff.[1][2][3]
