The Czech and Slovak Testing Board (CaSTB) is a non-profit professional organization that supports and promotes the discipline of software testing in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

It is the national board for the Czech Republic and Slovakia within the International Software Testing Qualifications Board (ISTQB).

History

The Czech and Slovak Testing Board was founded in 2006 as a non-profit organization whose members comprise a group of highly experienced experts in software testing who volunteer their time to the development, maintenance, and promotion of the ISTQB Certified Tester program.

The Czech and Slovak Testing Board is a Member Board of the ISTQB and as such, it is the single legal representative of ISTQB in Czech Republic and Slovakia.

Activities

  • Development and maintenance of examinations against the ISTQB Product Portfolio
  • Accreditation of Training Providers
  • Support for Software Testing Professionals
  • Support for ISTQB Conference Network
  • Promotion of Software Testing as a career choice

Certifications

The ISTQB Certified Tester Program is recognized worldwide as a standard qualification scheme for software testers. It consists of three levels: foundation, advanced, and expert. Content is organized into three streams: core, agile, and specialist.[1]

The Czech and Slovak Testing Board offers the following certifications:

  • ISTQB Specialist Performance Tester (PT)
  • ISTQB Specialist Model Based Tester (MBT)
  • ISTQB Specialist Mobile Application Tester (MAT)
  • ISTQB Specialist Automotive Software Tester (AUT)
  • ISTQB Specialist Usability Tester (UT)
  • ISTQB Specialist Acceptance Tester (AcT)

The contents of each syllabus are taught as courses delivered by Accredited Training Providers.

After the examination, each successful participant receives a certificate issued by the Czech and Slovak Testing Board. All the certificates are valid worldwide and can be checked against the Successful Candidate Register.
