Trackside telephone is a communication unit that is right next to the railroad. They may be a wired landline phone or a wireless model. Heavy rail networks have these kind of phones installed, as supportive backbone of the network. Rail operating centres and trackside users, are usually able to communicate via trackside telephones.[1]
