The Seoul Metro 1000 series (VVVF)is a commuter train introduced by the Seoul Transportation Corporation to replace trains subject to scrapping due to the lapse of durability. Currently, a total of 10 units (100 units) are in operation.

Characteristics

Since it is a VVVF train belonging to the Seoul Metro Corporation brought in to replace the existing Seoul Metro 1000 series (Rheostat Control), Gunja Vehicle Base entry and exit tracks are installed separately between Dongmyo Station and Sinseol-dong Station. However, with the arrival of the durability period, it may be scrapped before the renovation resistance. Basically, the appearance and interior of the Korail Class 3000 train running on Seoul Subway Line 3 and the Seoul Metro 4000 series train running on Seoul Subway Line 4 are the same, but the maximum design speed was 110 km/h for the purpose of running the ground section on Line 1. The route information post outside the passenger car was based on the LED electronic display format. Initially, an LED-type in-vehicle electronic route map was introduced, but it was demolished due to frequent errors and the establishment of Seodongtan Station and Dangjeong Station on Subway Line 1 in the Seoul metropolitan area, and the LED information bulletin board was improved to display the current time.

Assignment

Currently, a total of 10 vehicles are in operation, and 105-106, 109-110 incorporated non-powered carriages of resistance control vehicles. Currently, all vehicles belong to the Gunja Vehicle Office.

  • 101-110 episodes: Gunja Vehicle Office, 10 cars.

Compared to the 101-106 primary vehicles, there were small changes, such as improved destination information posts and indoor electronic boards, installed acupressure handles, and thick window frames outside the door. In addition, folding chairs were installed in the elderly and vulnerable seats, but due to the renovation of non-yeonjae, the folding chairs for the elderly and vulnerable seats disappeared, and there is an LED indicating the current time.
