The SR 113 or as it is known better as the Bucegi or Carpathian was a medium-duty truck produced by Steagul Rosu from 1962 to 1982, as the company's successor to the SR-101, which was based on the Soviet ZIS-150 truck. The truck has similair specifications with the ZIL-130, that replaced the ZIS-150, since it has a 5-ton payload,[1] and a V8 engine,[1] along with a similairy designed cab, which was made in collaboration with the Chausson Plant, that was located in France .[1]

In 1971 the factory was re-organized as a joint venture with MAN, and was renamed Roman Trucks, and soon production of the Roman Diesel trucks started, which were based on the MAN F8 trucks.[2] As production of the Roman 8.135F started, which was similar to the 113 in configuration, it was clear that the 113 trucks were soon going to be replaced by the 8.135F trucks sooner or later, and the discontinuation of the 113 trucks finally came in 1982.

Nevertheless, the SR 113 also served as the basis for many models, albeit most of them were prototypes or concept vehicles, one of them is the Roman SR 19.215DFK, which was based on the chassis of the Roman 19.215DFK truck, but had the cab of the SR-113 truck. That vehicle was only built for testing and remained on the prototype stage.[3] The SR 113 trucks were also widely used by the Romanian army.
