Engineering:Pekoppa

From HandWiki

Pekoppa (ペコッぱ) is a battery-powered plastic plant, manufactured by Sega,[1] which reacts with nodding movements when being spoken to.

It was co-developed by Tomio Watanabe (渡辺富夫) from Okayama University, whose psychological theory inspired its design. It is intended to aid people at expressing their feelings, migrating stress and soothing worries. It was released at 30 September 2008 and sold 50,000 units until the end of that year.[2]

The 15 centimeters (5.9 in) high Pekoppa is available in white, pink, red and blue pots. It is powered by three AAA batteries, and sells at 2,310 Yen (about $23.50).
