The Light Sniper Rifle (LSR) is a Pakistani 7.62×51mm bolt-action sniper rifle[1] designed and manufactured by the POF.[3] It was displayed in 23 November 2016 along with the HMG PK-16 in the IDEAS Exhibition.[1] It was designed to fulfill the increasing demand of Precision rifles in Pakistan .[1]

Characteristics

The Light Sniper Rifle was believed to have been designed to fulfill the demand of an affordable precision rifle platform,[1][3] its price is just $6500 for one rifle speaking of 2016.[2] It had a weight of 5.68 kg,[1] an effective range of 800 m[3] and Muzzle velocity of 800-820 m/s.[1] It is a 7.62×51mm caliber bolt-action rifle.[1] It has a Chromium-vanadium steel barrel and is equipped with a Quad Rail with two forward looking lugs.[1] It has a Twist rate of 1:12 and the Trigger only requires 0.5-2.5 kg force to be activated.[1] The Magazine has a capacity of 5-10 rounds.[1] POF intends to work on extending its range and barrel life after it enters mass-production.[3]
