Chronology
PredecessorZiL-130
SuccessorRenault Midlum (later cancelled)

The Amur-531350 was a medium-duty truck produced by UamZ (Amur) from 1994 to 2012, as a replacement for the ZiL-130 truck, however, the truck was little more than a modernized ZiL-130 with the cab/plumage from the ZiL-131 series of military vehicles,[2] which offered better protection in case of a rollover accident.

Due to the fall of the Soviet Union, the Amur and ZiL companies are competitors, despite Amur being owned by ZiL before 1991,[2] during these times, ZiL sent the tooling of their outdated models to the Amur factories, for production to continue there, since they wanted to focus on more new models, but the ZiL name was kept.

The Amur-531350 was not very competitive in the truck market, likely because it was very outdated by that time, and only 800 trucks were assembled monthly, and by the 2000s, that number had been lowered to just slightly over 100 trucks.

In 2010 the Amur-531350 trucks were discontinued since the Amur factory made an agreement with Renault to produce the Renault Midlum in Russia [3] as a replacement for the Amur-531350 trucks, but the contract ended in 2011, due to financial problems within the factory. A bowser version of the truck was also produced under the KO-713-N-20 name.[4]
