Earth:Chapanala

Chapanala is a waterfall which is also known as "Champawati Kunda"[1]. It is the tourist locations in the district of Nagaon[2] in Assam, India. These fall is located at a distance of 16 km from the district of Nagaon.[3] It is a picnic spot for may tourists visiting Assam.[4] Other renowned tourist places near Chapanala waterfall are Laokhowa Wildlife Sanctuary, which is known for its diverse flora and fauna. Another place frequently visited by tourists is Samaguri Beel which is popularly called the Pokhi Tirth or Bird Pilgrimage. Here people gather to see a wild variety of migrant birds and the famous lake.

Visting Time

The best time of the year to visit Chapanala waterfall is from the month of June till late December. As the climate is cool and favorable for tourist to enjoy the scenic beauty of the waterfall. The flow of the waterfall is stronger in June and July, when the rainy season is at its peak in Assam. The place is well connected to the nearby cities and towns through highways. Private taxis and auto rikshaws are also available to reach the waterfalls.[5]
