JotForm is a San Francisco –based company for building online forms.[2] Its users can create forms using drag and drop form objects and/or complete templates that require no special technical knowledge.

Completed forms are automatically emailed to their creators; there is an option to encrypt the data. Forms can be hosted on JotForm's website, or integrated on other sites including MailChimp, PayPal, Stripe and Salesforce.[3]

Subscription levels are available for groups and businesses of all sizes. A free, non-expiring basic plan is also available for users with simple needs, and those who would like to try the service at no cost. Nonprofit groups receive a 50% discount on all subscriptions.

History

JotForm was founded in 2006 by Aytekin Tank.[4][5][6]

In 2011, it released Wishbox, a feedback tool that annotates screenshots.[7][8]

By 2012, JotForm had over 700,000 users and published over 2 million user forms.[9]

In February 2012, the United States Secret Service shut down the JotForm site as part of an undisclosed investigation of user-created forms. After two days, it was back online.[2][10][11]

JotForm released an Adobe Document Cloud eSign Widget in June 2015 for embedded esigning into forms.[12][13]

In April 2016, JotForm announced that its software was available on Weebly.[14] In December 2016, the company partnered with IFTTT to integrate an "Applet" to create forms in other applications.[15][16] Tech Times recognized JotForm integration on Slack as one of the "Best Productivity Apps" of 2016.[17]

In 2018, JotForm acquired Noupe,[18] an online magazine.
