Perovskia is a genus of flowering plants in the mint family, Lamiaceae. Members of the genus are native to southwestern and central Asia.[2][3] It includes the garden plant Russian sage (P. atriplicifolia).

The genus is named after the Russian general V. A. Perovski (1794-1857).[4] Perovskia is now recognized as part of the genus Salvia L.[5]
