Mazhratut is an old mulberry tree with an estimated age of 1200-1300 years. It is located 25 km from Turkestan and 12 km from the city of Kentau in the village of Karnak, Turkestan region. The diameter of the trunk of the mulberry tree is approximately 3 meters, the height is 9 meters, the measurement in girth is more than 9 meters. According to legend, the leader of the Arabs Kuteiba-ibn-Muslim, who was engaged in the spread of Islam in Central Asia, stuck a peg in the ground to tie his horse. From this peg the mulberry tree began to grow. Over time, the tree has grown to a huge size.
