Gyrinocheilus pustulosus (common name: Borneo algae-eater) is a species of cyprinid of the genus Gyrinocheilus.[1] It inhabits the Kapuas, Mahakam and Kayan basins of Indonesian Borneo.[1] It is ten dorsal soft rays and 39 or 40 vertebrae.[1] Unsexed males have a maximum length of 35.5 centimetres (14.0 in).[1] It was described by George Clapp Vaillant in 1902.[1] It is classified as "data deficient" on the IUCN Red List[2] and considered harmless to humans.[1]
