Bertsa is a genus of true bugs in the family Miridae.

Characteristics

Elongated oval shaped body, attenna with four segments.[1] The white band on the dorsal of the insect marks the difference between this genus with others within the same tribus.[5]:482[6]

Distribution

This genus is distributed in warmer area of East Asia, South East Asia and South Asia. They have been found from Japan [5]:472 to South Korea [5]:469, Mainland China[5]:469 and Hong Kong[6]

Species

So far only two species have been described:

  • Bertsa lankana (Kirby, 1891): Seen only in the warmest provinces of South Korea[5]:469, southern provinces of Mainland China[1][5]:469, Taiwan,[7][8] as well as the area spanning from Indonesia to Sri Lanka.[5]:472
  • Bertsa major Zheng, 2004[1]
