Vineet Kumar is the social Entrepreneur, activist and founder and president of Cyber Peace Foundation.[1][2][3][4][5]

He is also a Chief Technical Officer of Jharkhand Police and head of Cyber Defense Research Centre (CDRC), a State government agency running by the Jharkhand Police and the Government of Jharkhand.[6][7][8]

Vineet is the member of the Government of India Expert Groups and Committees on Cyber Security. He has been closely working with on the subject of CyberPeace and CyberSecurity with UN, Government agencies, industries and also been part of the Indian Government delegation to foreign countries.[9][10]

Vineet is the founder of Global Ethical Hackers Association (GEHA) and CEO and chairman of the National Anti-Hacking Group (NAG).[11][12]

Vineet is also the part of the Territorial Army like Anurag Thakur, Sachin Pilot, Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Mohanlal.[13]

In the capacity of member of various forums such as “Cyber Security Task Force of NASSCOM-DSCI” setup by the Hon. Prime Minister of India, been part of Indian Government delegation to foreign countries and Member of the Advisory Council of Public Interest Registry (PIR), USA among many others.[14][15]

Background

Vineet did his bachelor's degree and Masters in IT Infrastructure (IT IMS) from Sikkim Manipal University. He studied Cyber Defence and Information Assurance at Cranfield University, United Kingdom. He is also an alumnus of Cambridge University, UK where he studied Leadership. Vineet is awarded a prestigious ‘Chevening Scholarship’ for ‘Cyber Defense and Information Assurance’ from Defence Academy of the United Kingdom (Ministry of Defence) and Cranfield University, United Kingdom. He has studied ‘leadership’ at Churchill College, Cambridge, Cambridge University, UK.[16]

Vineet's entrepreneurial life started at the age of 14 with the National Anti-Hacking Group (NAG). He founded National Anti-Hacking Group in 2003 and was India's one of the first organization made to fight against cyber-crime.[11][17]

Vineet served as the Chief Technology Officer & Head of the Cyber Defense Research Centre (CDRC), Government of Jharkhand agency of Jharkhand Police at the age of 22.[18]

In 2016, Vineet was invited to the International Visitor Leadership Programme by the United States Department of State and won five International awards.

In 2017, Vineet became one of the Internet Governance Forum (IGF) ambassadors.[19]

Vineet is a member of various forums such as “Cyber Security Task Force of NASSCOM-DSCI” part of the Government of India's delegation to foreign countries established by the Prime Minister of India in 2008. And Advisory Council of Public Interest Registry(PIR), USA.[20] He is also the advisor and member of the Expert group to Government agencies, UN agencies, Non-Government agencies, public and private universities.[21][22]
