Wilma Sue Ritter (30 April 1945 – 14 March 2021) was an American integrative physiology and neuroscience researcher. Ritter finished her PhD at the Bryn Mawr College in 1971. Ritter became assistant professor in 1974 at the Washington State University and became during her career Regents Professor Emeritus. She made influential contributions in the fields of nutrition, diabetes, and obesity. Ritter did research on how the brain senses and responds to changes in circulating metabolic fuels.[1][2]

Ritter died in Viola on 14 March 2021, aged 75.[2]
