Marlon Gerardo Dumas Menjivar (born 22 August 1975[1]) is a Honduran computer scientist, and Professor of Software Engineering at the University of Tartu in Estonia, known for his contributions in the field of Business Process Management.[2][page needed]

Born in Honduras, Dumas received his PhD in Computer Science at the University of Grenoble in France in 2000. From 2000 to 2009 he was Lecturer at the Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane, Australia. In 2007 he was appointed Professor of Software Engineering at the University of Tartu in Estonia.[3]

In 2004 and 2007 Dumas was awarded the Queensland Government Fellowship to "undertake research on service-oriented software architectures in collaboration with SAP AG."[4]

Dumas is married to an Estonian, whom he has a daughter with.[1]
