Early life

Anoushka was born in Mumbai . She did her schooling in Delhi and under graduation from St. Xavier's College, Mumbai, and then went to the UK for her higher studies and work. She graduated from Warwick Business School, UK.[3][1]

Career

Anoushka started working at Whye and Mackey in Glasgow, Scotland.[2][4] She then went on to work in an ad agency called House of Kaizen in London for a few years before deciding to move back to India to set up her own.[5]

In 2014, she returned to India and started Lajja Diaries, which was an online platform for women empowerment and discussed various issues relation to discrimination.[6][2][5]

Lajja created a community of women online and offline, and the Lajja team did various awareness programs and workshops in urban slums and rural areas for the upliftment of young girls and women.[1][7][8]

The causes for the backwardness of the women in society include lack of education and financial independence and the age old social conditioning which needs to change. This led to the formation of Lajja Foundation. The foundation works for the education of underprivileged girls from urban slums.[1][9]

The foundation also organises menstrual hygiene awareness camps and grains distribution schemes in urban slums.[10][11][5]

In 2019, she founded Grow Labs that provides online consultation for mental health awareness.[10][12]

Anoushka has been invited to speak at TEDx[13] and various other events including Udaan 4.0 Entrepreneur fest by IIM Rohtak.[2][14]
